In short
The 4Wirral: School countChecked 9 Oct 2026 against Calday Grange Grammar School. The source says: Your child will sit the test at one of the four Wirral grammar schools.
View the official source Wirral Consortium grammar schools do not publish a pass mark as a number. Children who reach the required score are said to have reached the grammar school standard, and the required score itself is not printed in the published materials we checked. So this page cannot show a yearly pass mark for the Wirral consortium. It shows instead what the schools have published about where their offers stopped.
School cut-offs
The latest lowest score and furthest distance each school offered places to, with the entry year. Schools use their own admission rules and sometimes their own score scales, so compare each school with its own past years rather than with other schools.

View the official source Each score is age-standardised, and the scores are added together into one total. Children who reach the required total are treated as having reached the grammar school standard. Reaching it is the first step, not a place: each school then fills its places under its own oversubscription rules. The council's registration leaflet notes that Wirral Grammar School for Boys has a lower standard for children from low-income families on free school meals.
Priority for children on free school meals differs by school. All four non-Catholic grammar schools give some priority to FSM children who reach the standard; the number of places is set in each school's policy (Calday up to 15, West Kirby up to 18 per the council policy booklet).Wirral 2027 entry: Pp priorityChecked 9 Oct 2026 against Wirral Council. The source says: All Wirral non-Catholic grammar schools give some priority to ... children who get low income based Free School Meals at the ... time of applying in Autumn 2026.
