Corrections policy and log
By ExamKind Editorial TeamFacts checked 19 October 2026Last reviewed 19 October 2026
In short
When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and say so in public. Dates, deadlines, other facts and practice-question answer keys are all corrected within 48 hours of confirming the report. A wrong answer key is re-marked for the scores it affected. Every significant correction is listed below with what was wrong, what is right and when we fixed it.
How do we decide what counts as a correction?
| Type of change | What we do |
|---|---|
| A fact was wrong (a date, score, rule or name) | Fix it, add a note on the page, and list it in the log below |
| A fact has changed because the official source changed | Update it and show the new "verified" date; this is an update, not a correction |
| Wording was unclear or could mislead | Rewrite it; list it below if the old wording could have changed a family's decision |
| Spelling, grammar or broken links | Fix it without a log entry |
If an error was serious, for example a wrong deadline that may have affected applications, we also publish a short correction notice in our news section and update every page that used the fact.
How quickly do we correct errors?
- Dates, deadlines, other facts and practice-question answer keys: within 48 hours of a report we can confirm. Affected practice scores are re-marked.
These are our targets, and we will publish how well we meet them once the site is live. If we cannot confirm a report straight away, for example because a school's documents disagree, we mark the fact "to be confirmed" on the page while we check.
How are corrections made?
- We check the report against the official source.
- If we were wrong, we correct the fact in our records. Every page that uses that fact updates at the same time.
- We add a dated note to the affected page.
- We add an entry to the log below.
- We look at why it happened and change our checks if needed.
