Alleyn's is one foundation with three schools. There is the Senior School, and there are two junior schools: Alleyn's Junior School and Alleyn's Oakfield. For the junior entry points, families fill in one registration and the child takes one assessment that covers both junior schools. Parents simply say which one they would prefer. The school sets every test itself, and at 11+ it does not use the ISEB Common Pre-Test. Reasoning tests come in three broad kinds. Verbal reasoning uses puzzles with words and letters. Non-verbal reasoning uses shapes and patterns. Spatial reasoning asks a child to picture how shapes turn, fold or fit together. The school publishes a syllabus for its 11+ papers, and its 11+ page is the place to look for any sample material.
