How far offers reached
Each bar shows how far from Bexley Grammar School the last child offered a place lived, under the last admission rule the offers reached. Up to five years, on one scale.
Qualifying is not the same as being offered a place.
Reaching the school's standard means your child can be considered. If more children qualify than there are places, the school gives places using its admission rules, in order. The figures below show how far those rules reached in past years. They are history, not a prediction: they change every year with who applies.

Source: London Borough of Bexley, checkedWhat the words mean
- National Offer Day:
- the first offers, made on 1 March (or the next working day).
- Final:
- how far offers had reached later, after places were offered from the waiting list.
- Admission rule:
- schools give places rule by rule, in order. The distance is only how far the last rule reached.
- N/A or “All offered”:
- no distance was needed to decide places under that rule, for example because everyone who applied under it got a place.
- No figure published:
- nobody published a figure for that year, or we have not checked one yet. We never fill a gap with a guess.

About these figures
BGS does not publish a pass mark for a particular year. The clearest guide to your chances is the council's record of how far from the school places reached on National Offer Day, because most offers are made on distance once the priority groups are filled.
Across the years shown the distance has stayed within a narrow band, so recent history gives a fairly steady picture. Even so, it is a guide, not a promise. Distances are straight-line and in miles, measured the way the school describes below.
How popular is it? The council recorded 1,403Bexley Grammar School: Preferences2026Checked 9 Oct 2026 against London Borough of Bexley. The source says: Preferences for 2026– 1403

If more selective children apply than there are places, BGS works through its criteria in this order (our summary of the policy):
- First: looked-after and previously looked-after children.
- Second: a limited number of places for selective children eligible for the pupil premium, nearest first.
- Third: children with one of the very highest scores in the whole Bexley test (the council's top-scorer group).
- Fourth: brothers and sisters of pupils at the school, living at the same address.
- Fifth: children of staff who have worked at BGS for at least two years.
- Last: everyone else, by straight-line distance.
What stands out at BGS is where pupil premium children sit: straight after looked-after children, and ahead of the top scorers and siblings.
- Pupil premium places: Criterion 2 (straight after LAC/PLAC); ranked by distance; supplementary form plus documentary evidence (LA or primary school letter) by 31 October 2026; the CAF must also name BGS.Bexley Grammar School: Pp priority (2027)Checked 9 Oct 2026 against Bexley Grammar School. The source says:
