More about entry from our guide
The school runs its own assessments at every stage. Younger children are seen through play and class activities. From 7+ upward, applicants sit written papers that the school sets itself, and older applicants also meet staff. Each route has its own deadline, so it helps to note the one for your child's age early.

The English and maths papers are set by the school itself rather than by an outside test provider. So the questions follow its own style, and the school's own admissions information is the place to look for any example papers. A creative writing task asks a child to produce her own piece, such as a story, so teachers can see how she shapes ideas and chooses words.
