How far offers reached
Each bar shows how far from St Michael's Catholic Grammar School the last child offered a place lived, under the last admission rule the offers reached. Up to five years, on one scale.
Qualifying is not the same as being offered a place.
Reaching the school's standard means your child can be considered. If more children qualify than there are places, the school gives places using its admission rules, in order. The figures below show how far those rules reached in past years. They are history, not a prediction: they change every year with who applies.
Applications and offers, September 2026 entry (Department for Education)
How many families applied to St Michael's Catholic Grammar School and how many places it offered. Applicants per place is all applications divided by offers. Families apply to several schools and not every applicant qualifies, so it is not the chance of a place.

About these figures
The policy states no pass mark. Girls are placed in rank order within each criterion, so what decides an offer is a girl's rank and the group she falls into, not a single score. We have not found published figures for past years, such as the lowest rank offered or how many girls sat the tests, so both columns show as not known yet.
Should past figures appear later, treat them as a guide, not a promise.

The faith requirement. As a Catholic school, St Michael's gives priority to Catholic girls whose families practise their faith. The policy's requirement, in summary: Catholic priority: criteria 1-3 require a Baptised Catholic girl (Certificate of Baptism in the Catholic Church, or Certificate of Reception into full communion) from a Practising Catholic family, evidenced by a Certificate of Catholic Practice signed by the Parish Priest and dated within 3 months of applying; original paper CCP to the School Office and baptism certificate uploaded by 4pm on 7 July 2026. In practice, a Catholic family applying needs the following in place by the form deadline:
- the girl's Certificate of Baptism in the Catholic Church (or Certificate of Reception into full communion), uploaded to the online form;
- a Certificate of Catholic Practice signed by your Parish Priest, delivered as the original paper copy to the School Office, in person or by post.
If you are unsure whether your family's practice meets the requirement, speak to your parish priest well before the deadline, since the parish priest signs the certificate.
The priority order. (1) Baptised Catholic girls from a Practising Catholic family (Certificate of Baptism + Certificate of Catholic Practice) who are looked after or previously looked after (incl. internationally adopted), ranked in the top 175 in the test. Read simply, criteria (1) to (3) are all for Baptised Catholic girls from a practising Catholic family: looked-after and previously looked-after girls first, then girls eligible for the pupil premium, then all others, each in test rank order. They apply only when too few girls meet criteria (1) to (3), as the invitation rule above explains.
