How far offers reached
Each bar shows how far from St. Anselm’s College the last child offered a place lived, under the last admission rule the offers reached. Up to five years, on one scale.
Qualifying is not the same as being offered a place.
Reaching the school's standard means your child can be considered. If more children qualify than there are places, the school gives places using its admission rules, in order. The figures below show how far those rules reached in past years. They are history, not a prediction: they change every year with who applies.
Applications and offers, September 2026 entry (Department for Education)
How many families applied to St. Anselm’s College and how many places it offered. Applicants per place is all applications divided by offers. Families apply to several schools and not every applicant qualifies, so it is not the chance of a place.

About these figures
The College has published a pass mark for each paper in the past, but not how many boys passed or how far down the faith categories places went.
Those pass marks come from the College's exam policy for 2026 entry. No matching policy for 2027 entry has appeared, and the College's current guidance describes the pass rule differently, so do not assume the same marks or the same number of papers apply this year. Treat them as a guide, not a promise.

The relevant area is not a catchment in the usual sense: it only changes things for baptised boys. The list has no separate rule for brothers or for sons of staff. It also does not spell out where a baptised boy from outside the relevant area would fall, so if that is your situation, ask the College before the council deadline.
Pupil premium (extra funding for children from low-income homes or who have been in care) is not a separate group here. The College instead uses Targeted Free School Meals, which lift a qualified boy within his own category; there is no lower pass mark.

The College does not answer individual questions about exam results, and we found no review or re-mark process. The appeal after offers is the formal route. Before you write, check that your son was put in the right faith category and that his baptism certificate and any free school meals evidence reached the College. Most appeals for oversubscribed grammar schools are not upheld, so name a realistic second choice on your council form. See the Wirral 11+ guide.
