How far offers reached
Each bar shows how far from Wallington County Grammar School the last child offered a place lived, under the last admission rule the offers reached. Up to five years, on one scale.
Qualifying is not the same as being offered a place.
Reaching the school's standard means your child can be considered. If more children qualify than there are places, the school gives places using its admission rules, in order. The figures below show how far those rules reached in past years. They are history, not a prediction: they change every year with who applies.
Applications and offers, September 2026 entry (Department for Education)
How many families applied to Wallington County Grammar School and how many places it offered. Applicants per place is all applications divided by offers. Families apply to several schools and not every applicant qualifies, so it is not the chance of a place.

About these figures
Is there a Wallington County Grammar cut-off score?
There is a standard to reach, but no published number. The school calls it the combined qualifying standard, drawn from the SET and Second Stage together. Neither the school nor the Greenshaw Learning Trust publishes that standard or its SET pass mark, and we have found no official record of past cut-off scores or of the lowest-ranked boy offered a place.
Because places go in rank order of the combined score, not by distance, the council's furthest-distance figures do not apply to this school:
What really sets the bar each year is how many boys reach the standard and name the school, against a fixed number of places. The order those places are filled in for 2027 entry: (1) Looked after / previously looked after children meeting the combined qualifying standard. (2) Children of permanent staff (2+ consecutive years, or recruited to a skill-shortage post) meeting the qualifying standard. (3) Entrance test rank order (priorities 1-3 together initially capped at 110 places). (4) Up to 25 Pupil Premium places, in rank order; unfilled go to priority 3. (5) Up to 15 places for Sutton-area postcodes (SM1-SM7, KT4 8, CR0 4, CR4 4), in rank order; unfilled go to priority 3.Wallington County Grammar School: Oversubscription criteria (2027)Checked 9 Oct 2026 against Greenshaw Learning Trust. The source says: Students with an Education Health Care Plan that names the school and meet the combined qualifying standard from the SET and the WCGS Second Stage Test will be allocated a place before other applicants are considered.

So in practice there are three lines each year: one for the main ranked places, one for pupil premium boys and one for the Sutton-area postcode places. None is published. Treat any figure from an unofficial source with care, and remember past results are a guide, not a promise. Our 11+ cut-offs dataset and the Sutton SET guide explain what is known across the group.

Is there a Wallington County Grammar catchment area?
Only for a small band of places. Priority 5 only: up to 15 places for qualifying boys whose permanent home address at 31 October is in SM1, SM2, SM3, SM4, SM5, SM6, SM7, KT4 8--, CR0 4-- or CR4 4--. Pupil premium is extra funding a school gets for some disadvantaged children. View the official source That last point matters: unlike the two girls' schools, Wallington County does not say it lowers the pass mark for these boys, so they need to reach the same standard as everyone else.

How Wallington County combines the scores
Total standardised score = two fifths SET total score + three fifths Second Stage total score (weights are fifths as printed).Wallington County Grammar School: Score composition (2027)Checked 9 Oct 2026 against Greenshaw Learning Trust. The source says: The total standardised score is made up of two fifths from the SET total score and three fifths from the Second Stage total score.
View the official source So the written Second Stage is worth more than the SET in the final order, though a weak SET still pulls the total down.
To be offered a place, a boy has to reach the school's combined standard and then rank high enough: SET pass mark for WCGS to sit Stage 2; selective ability = reaching the combined qualifying standard from SET + Second Stage; places in rank order of performance.Wallington County Grammar School: Qualifying rule (2027)Checked 9 Oct 2026 against Greenshaw Learning Trust. The source says: Students will be regarded as being of selective ability if they reach the combined qualifying standard from the SET and the WCGS Second Stage Test.
