More about entry from our guide

Godolphin and Latymer runs its 11+ in two stages. First comes a shared written test. Then the school chooses which girls to meet, using the test results. That is worth knowing early, because not every applicant reaches the interview. The Sixth Form has its own process, with the school's own tests. Outside those two points, a place in another year group comes up only very occasionally.

Stage one: the Consortium test. Godolphin and Latymer is a member of the London 11+ Consortium, a group of girls' day schools in London. Members share one entrance test, so a girl who applies to several of them sits a single test rather than a paper for each school. It is done on screen. The first section is adaptive, which means the questions get harder or easier depending on her answers. A second section asks her to solve problems and think creatively.

The school's policy asks girls to sit the test at their own junior school wherever they can. Its timetable lists two days, 27 November 2026 and 1 December 2026The Godolphin and Latymer School: Parts (2027)Checked 10 Oct 2026 against Godolphin and Latymer School. The source says: | Entrance Exam: | Either Friday 27 November or Tuesday 1 December 2026 |View the official source, and she sits on one of them. If your daughter's school plans to use that third day, check with Godolphin and Latymer that it suits. The school also needs an exam form, due on the same day as registration.

Stage two: interview for selected girls. The Consortium notes that Godolphin and Latymer selects for interview from the test, and the school's own policy says the same. Occasional places in Years 8 to 10

Godolphin and Latymer does not run a regular 13+ entry. A place in Year 8, Year 9 or Year 10 opens only very occasionally, when the school has a vacancy. Bursaries at Godolphin and Latymer are for families who could not otherwise afford the school. They are means-tested, so they depend on income and savings, not on how a girl does in the test. A full award can be worth more than the fee itself. One of the school's web pages gives a lower top figure, and we have asked the school to confirm. We did not find a published income limit. Our bursaries guide explains how a means test usually works.
