Queen's Gate is a through school: girls can start in Reception and stay until they finish A levels. The Junior School and the Senior School stand on the same road. The school keeps its own names for some year groups, and you will see them on its forms:

The test. Queen's Gate does not write its own 11+ papers. Instead, girls take the assessment of the London 11+ Consortium, a group of London girls' day schools that all accept the same test. One sitting counts for every member school a girl applies to. The test is normally taken at her current school. It mixes questions on number, reading and language with reasoning puzzles, and it ends with problem-solving and a comprehension.
